Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

SynceBridge ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

1. Who We Are

SynceBridge is an order and inventory management service. Our service enables sellers to manage their Etsy and Shopify stores from a unified dashboard via official API integrations.

Contact:support@syncebridge.com

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data when you use SynceBridge:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and account credentials you provide when registering with SynceBridge.
  • Store Data (via API): Product listings, order details (items ordered, quantities, shipping addresses), and inventory levels fetched from your Etsy and Shopify stores through official API access.
  • Usage Data: Log data, IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited within the SynceBridge dashboard for security and performance monitoring.

We do not collect or store your Etsy or Shopify passwords, payment card numbers, financial account details, or any buyer personal data beyond shipping addresses required for fulfillment.

3. Etsy & Shopify API Access

SynceBridge integrates with the Etsy Open API v3 and the Shopify API using OAuth 2.0 authorization. This means:

  • You authorize our application directly on Etsy's and Shopify's own secure pages — your credentials are never shared with or seen by SynceBridge.
  • We receive a scoped OAuth access token that allows us to perform only the specific actions you authorized.
  • Etsy API scopes we request: listings_r, listings_w, transactions_r, transactions_w (ShopReceipts), shops_r, inventory_r, inventory_w.
  • We do not request access to financial reports, payment information, or any scope beyond what is necessary for order and inventory management.

Our use of the Etsy API complies with Etsy's API Terms of Use. API keys are generated solely for the SynceBridge integration — not generated at the request of any third party.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide the SynceBridge service — syncing orders and inventory between your stores.
  • Operate and maintain the unified dashboard.
  • Send transactional emails (order alerts, sync error notifications).
  • Monitor system health and prevent abuse.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your store data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose outside of providing the SynceBridge service.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with trusted sub-processors strictly to operate our service:

  • Cloud Hosting Providers (e.g., Google Cloud) — for infrastructure.
  • Email Service Providers — for transactional notifications only.
  • Analytics Tools — aggregated, anonymized usage metrics only.

All sub-processors are contractually bound to process your data only as instructed by us and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit.
  • AES-256 encryption for OAuth access tokens stored at rest.
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Role-based access controls limiting employee data access.
  • No storage of plain-text credentials of any kind.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and store data for as long as your SynceBridge account is active. Upon account deletion:

  • All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
  • OAuth tokens are immediately revoked upon account deletion or disconnection.
  • Anonymized aggregate analytics data may be retained longer.

You may revoke SynceBridge's API access at any time from your Etsy account's "Apps & Permissions" settings or your Shopify store's "Apps" admin page.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict processing of your data.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@syncebridge.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

SynceBridge uses only essential cookies necessary for the service to function (session authentication). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
